Biography

Tobias, born and raised in Heeze, started playing classical guitar at the age of 9. Until he

was 15, he received lessons from his mother and various teachers in the Netherlands and

Belgium. In 2019, the guitarist was admitted to the preparatory program of the Codarts

Conservatory, where he studied Latin guitar with Kees Gelderblom. After

completing the preparatory program, Tobias went on to study at the HKU Conservatory,

where he received jazz guitar lessons from teachers such as Erik Rutjes, Tim Langedijk, George Dumitriu and Daan Kleijn. During his studies, the guitarist performed with Seamus Blake, Zack

Lober, Jasper Blom, Kika Sprangers, Simon Rigter, Jamie Peet, and Benjamin Herman,

among others.
